IOS activities for World Osteoporosis Day

World Osteoporosis Day, October 20, 2017

To Celebrate World Osteoporosis Day , Irish Osteoporosis Society, the National Experts on Osteoporosis, will hold the following two events.

1. #50PlusExpo Dublin in RDS Dublin.
Michele O’Brien will give a presentation on Osteoporosis on Friday, October 20, at #50PlusExpo RDS at 12.30pm.

2. An Osteoporosis awareness evening will be held on
Tuesday, October 24 at 6.30 pm sharp in The Ardilaun Hotel, Salthill, Galway.

Presentation Title: Osteoporosis, who is at risk and the effects of undiagnosed/untreated Osteoporosis.

Mr Richard Shortall – Chartered Physiotherapist
Presentation Title: Three Simple Things Physiotherapy Can Do for Patients with Osteoporosis.

Dr Miriam Delaney – Endocrinologist
Presentation Title: Healthy Bones: Vitamin D

Ms Aoife Ni Eochaidh – Chartered Physiotherapist
Presentation Title: Osteoporosis: Core and pelvic floor muscle training.

There will be questions and answer session at the end of the evening.

There will be a raffle and all funds will go towards the Irish Osteoporosis Society Charity
