The Irish Osteoporosis Society is a registered charitable organisation in Ireland – (Registered Charity Number (RCN): 20034191).

The organisation has two full-time employees to cover the work of the charity in the Republic of Ireland. The Charity is very dependent on Charity Membership Fees (€50 annually).

Whether you are running a marathon or doing an overseas trek (post-Covid) or shaving your head to raise money to fund our work, we appreciate your amazing support!

Please bear in mind that under current Government guidelines, certain events and activities will be put on hold due to COVID19. If you are hosting an event, please ensure that it is complying with the relevant restrictions in place to stop the spread of COVID19.


Below is a list of suggested events that will take place either in person or online/ you can participate in either virtually or in person, to fundraise for us:/ where you can help to raise funds for us.

  • VHI mini marathon
  • Tough Mudder
  • Participate in our annual Bake off
  • Wedding favours
  • Virtual sponsored walk event
  • Coffee mornings
  • Local cake sales or raffles
  • Bingo
  • Church gate collection when Covid is no longer an issue
