Professor Moira O’Brien was asked if she would ever endorse treating bone loss alternatively. She stated “I entered medical school when I was turning 16, I set up the first Osteoporosis clinic in Ireland and I have extensive experience in this area, I personally would NEVER recommend a person treat Osteoporosis alternatively.
Osteoporosis is a disease and should be treated by prescribed medications that have had extensive clinical research done on them to prove they work.

Many people in Ireland are lacking in Vitamin D as very few foods contain it, therefore in general a Vitamin D supplement is often recommended”.
